As a Senior Lead Infrastructure Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Software Defined Storage Organization in Infrastructure Platforms, you exhibit both depth and breadth of knowledge regarding storage products, managing large storage infrastructure setups at scale using software control planes, applications, and technical processes across multiple disciplines.
You also have a good understanding of peer domains like networking and compute within infrastructure engineering to drive programs or initiatives involving multiple technologies and applications.
Job Responsibilities
Manage Storage Delivery Management: Serve as the face of the storage team in Singapore, liaising with global teams in NA and India, providing leadership during APAC production hours.
Possess Storage Solutions Expertise: Proficient in IP Block, FC Block, File, and Object storage solutions, with hands-on experience in products like PowerFlex, SolidFire, PowerMax, CDOT, Isilon, StorageGRID, VMAX, Cisco, Brocade, and 3PAR.
Manage Incident and Crisis Management: Skilled in managing critical incidents and crises, with effective communication across regional leadership and global teams.
Provide Audit Support and Triage: Single point of contact for audit requests, supporting regional technology audits related to storage, and communicating with auditors.
Align with Business: Understand local business needs and implement cost-effective, performance-efficient storage solutions aligned with global standards.
Support significant global storage projects in APAC.
Manage Data Center Operations: Experience in managing data center activities such as power downs/ups, migrations, and resizing, adhering to global standards and regional requirements.
Oversee Lifecycle Management: Deep understanding of storage technology lifecycle, from deployment to decommissioning, including build, patching, capacity management, and modernization.
Provide Local Support and Partnership: Support local data centers, collaborating with global teams including Compute, Network, and APAC storage vendors (e.g., DELL, NetApp, Cisco, Brocade).
Oversee Vendor and Contract Management: Manage purchase orders, maintenance, service, and support contracts for storage hardware and capacity deployments in APAC data centers, working closely with local business teams.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related disciplines
At least 15 years of experience in storage management and data infrastructure at a senior level
Proficiency in storage technologies and products listed above
Strong skills in data management and protection practices
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, geographically dispersed team
Project management experience
Relevant certifications (e.g., SNIA, AWS Certified Solutions Architect)
Flexibility to work across different time zones
