Facility Technician Job Description
- Set-up and conversion of equipment, maintain, install, troubleshoot and repair all the equipment.
- Ensure that machines and facilities operate according to prescribed specifications and requirements.
- Troubleshoot and repair electronics, pneumatics, electrical and mechanical related problems encountered by machines, and update machine records.
- Provide line sustaining support.
- Monitor and record facilities and equipment parameters as per SOP.
- Repair and replace worn-out and defective parts, resolve equipment issues during production.
- Record reasons for changes in parameters and/or part of the equipment in the monitoring log sheet.
- Implement and execute housekeeping and safety measures within maintenance bay.
- Perform spare parts handling, inventory management and control.
- Inform supervisor and other support groups about equipment status, conditions, and prevailing performance.
- Train newly hired production operators on basic machine operations.
- Provide support in qualification and evaluations of new product, new equipment, new materials and new customer requirements.
- Assist in coordinating with equipment vendors on machine support.
- Maintain, review all legal documents, license and calibration records.
Follow up of all renewals.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the company from time to time.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Facility technicians require a strong foundation in mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
They must be skilled in troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance procedures.
Additionally, they should have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
