This role is part of the Group People Analytics team and will lead the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of a comprehensive HR data architecture.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain an extensive HR data model that supports reporting, analytics, and data‑driven decision‑making.
- Design and implement a scalable and integrated HR data architecture, connecting various systems and data sources.
- Lead the setup and management of an HR data lake, ensuring it is optimized for storing vast volumes of structured and unstructured HR data.
- Oversee automation & ETL processes, including data extraction, transformation, and loading, to ensure data is accurately imported into the data lake and other systems.
- Implement data quality frameworks and processes to maintain high standards of data integrity and accuracy.
- Develop and implement a robust testing & validation framework across BI tools to ensure reliability and accuracy of data models and reporting outputs and validate data models, ETL processes, and data quality measures.
- Sign off on all HR BI solutions post‑meeting validation framework requirements before production.
- Define & document technical requirements and implementation details for data management projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and IT standards.
- Collaborate with IT to support data‑related technical issues and ensure alignment with the organization’s data strategy.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in data management technologies and practices, recommending enhancements to data infrastructure.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in HR data management, data architecture, and database systems, especially within Azure’s ecosystem.
- In‑depth knowledge of automation, ETL tools and methodologies for extracting data from source systems, transforming it into a usable format, and loading it into the data warehouse.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL for writing complex queries & a scripting language (Python, Java, etc).
- Experience in effectively communicating complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- In‑depth understanding of various testing methodologies across the BI development lifecycle.
- Experience in documenting technical requirements and implementation details.
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with IT and other stakeholders.
- A commitment to continuous learning and staying informed on industry trends and data management best practices.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and analytical thinking to address technical challenges during the data warehouse build process.
- Ability to lead projects and drive them to completion.
- Experience with data governance and compliance standards.
