Overview
Reporting to the Director of Research Admin, you will be leading the Corporate Communications and Research Planning & Management departments in GIS, and working closely with the research community in showcasing all our research and scientific achievements and talents in the various media landscapes and other avenues.
You will be driving the internal and external communications strategy in partnership with key stakeholders within GIS in shaping organisational and brand culture, leading and executing consistent, targeted communication for the core leadership team to deliver the right message to the right people at the right time.
You will be the key driver in developing, writing and editing press releases, managing media activities, preparing corporate promotional materials/brochures, maintaining corporate website and intranet.
In addition, you will lead in the planning, organising and managing GIS' corporate events including corporate visits, international scientific conferences and symposiums.
Managing the overall admin resources, you will promote and maintain a conducive work environment for all GIS colleagues.
We are looking for a candidate who is a highly motivated, well-seasoned communications & administrative professional with good track record.
He/she must be detail-oriented, a proactive team player and a leader who possesses excellent discernment with impeccable writing and presentation skills.
Job Requirements
Degree in Mass Communications or its equivalent
Minimum 5 years' relevant experience
Strong ability to engage internal and external stakeholders
Excellent interpersonal skills and relates well with people at all levels
Well-organised, meticulous and able to work independently
