This role is to identify, evaluate, and drive new business opportunities by leveraging deep technical knowledge and market insight.

Core Responsibilities
Advanced Technology Scouting & Market Analysis
Monitor and analyze
disruptive emerging technologies
across the silicon photonics (SiPh) ecosystem, including novel material platforms and advanced packaging trends.
Perform quantitative assessment of Total Addressable Market (TAM), competitive positioning, and time-to-market for new SiPh and semiconductor solutions.
Conduct detailed
technical benchmarking
of Process Design Kits (PDKs), component performance, and manufacturing considerations.
Technical Customer Engagement & Solution Architecture
Interface directly with prospective customers' R&D and product architecture teams to deeply understand their
technical roadmaps and pain points
and formulate value propositions to address them
Present white papers and technical deep-dives at Tier 1 industry events.
Architect and propose optimized semiconductor solutions leveraging our in-house SiPh PDK platforms and R&D capabilities.
Develop business-centric value propositions by translating complex technical features into concrete
Return on Investment
(ROI) and competitive advantage.
Strategic Ecosystem & Partnership Development
Identify, qualify, and secure strategic partnerships with key players, including SiPh foundries, OSAT providers, and other ecosystem players.
Structure the technical scope for
Research Collaboration Agreements
(RCAs) and define clear IP and technical deliverables.
Draft, review and negotiate contracts with internal and external key stakeholders and secure business wins
Future Platform & Strategic Technology Prioritization
Contribute to the development of 3-5 year technology roadmaps based on anticipated future industry demands.
Liaise with the R&D team to translate long-term market forecasts into platform enhancement requirements and foundational IP development priorities.
Key Skills & Experience
Education: Master's Degree (M.S.) in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or a closely related technical field is
required .
A Ph.D. specializing in Silicon Photonics or semiconductor devices is highly preferred.
Technical Background: Demonstrated technical expertise (3+ years) in
SiPh
device physics or CMOS-compatible semiconductor fabrication processes.
Must be able to interpret complex technical specifications and design trade-offs.
Business Acumen:
Proven track record
of successfully executing or significantly contributing to technical marketing, commercialization, or business development projects.
Ability to build robust financial and competitive business cases.
Communication:
Exceptional technical presentation skills
validated by experience presenting complex R&D work to external partners or customers.
Must be comfortable bridging the gap between deep science and business strategy.
