The Role
This position will be responsible to provide technical support, solutioning, industry knowledge for tasks assigned in the technical services section within Group Property Management (GPM).
Position will also be required to provide support to the portfolio Property Management teams to review technical issues, defects, replacement and conversion works across Mapletree Group’s asset portfolio and ensure compliance to building safety requirements and standards.
Reporting to the Vice President, Technical Services, candidate must possess excellent technical skills in one or more M&E areas as well as strong stakeholder engagement skills.
Candidate will be required to work independently to achieve GPM goals and as part of the larger GPM team in fulfilling its role as a corporate unit in charge of Property Management as a whole.
Job Responsibilities
Work closely with portfolio technical team(s) and external consultants and contractors to review property-related end-of-life replacements and/or defects, and propose solutions for replacement or rectification, operation, repair maintenance of all building M&E facilities and systemsProvide expertise advice to the local team in solving critical structural or mechanical issuesWhere assigned and needed, lead, plan, control, organise and monitor building defects and conversion works to achieve asset objectives and standards across portfolio of assetsWork with procurement to source and procure consultancy services (where required) and contractors to implement rectification / conversion worksReview consultant’s building proposals for design, functionality and for building operations.
This applies to both existing properties (maintenance, operations and design and replacements) and for a new-build project (design and implementation)When assigned, manage budget and expenditure of repair and maintenance works, long term building asset repairing and replacement planning, and capital expenditure projectsLook into new initiatives, innovations or automation and provide recommendations for better energy and cost saving as well as efficiency of operations across portfolio of assetsAssist to run the Engineering forum to showcase new innovations and align engineering practice within internal stakeholdersJob Requirements
Degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) or equivalentAt least 10 years of relevant experiences in building facilities management, project management and integrated fitting out worksProficient in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
Experience working with SAP will be an added advantageExperienced in GRESB and WELL certification work will be an advantageCertification as a Green Mark Associate, Fire Safety Manager will be an added advantageStrong leadership, planning, communication skills and good interpersonal skills are essentialAbility to manage operations and projects simultaneously #LI-WL
