We are seeking an experienced and driven
Lead Mechanical Engineer
to support the delivery of cutting-edge
LNG and New Energies projects
across Asia.
Working within a matrix organizational structure, the successful candidate will play a key role in providing high-quality mechanical engineering services from project development through to Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) and Detailed Engineering (DE).
As a core member of the engineering team, you will be actively involved in Pre-FEED, FEED, and basic design phases, contributing to a range of New Energies initiatives including
Green Hydrogen
and
Green Ammonia (Power-to-X) .
You will be expected to lead mechanical discipline deliverables, ensure technical excellence, and collaborate closely with project managers and engineering leadership to drive project success.
Key Responsibilities
Lead mechanical design and engineering activities throughout FS, Pre-FEED, FEED, and DE phases of LNG and energy transition projects.
Prepare and review technical specifications, datasheets, and design documents for rotating, static, and packaged equipment.
Develop and evaluate Requests for Quotation (RFQs), conduct Technical Bid Evaluations (TBEs), and manage vendor coordination and design reviews.
Produce Mechanical Material Take-Offs (MTO) and ensure alignment with project procurement plans.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders to ensure design quality, compliance, and project alignment.
Contribute to the development and execution of Green Hydrogen and Green Ammonia projects.
Maintain and manage vendor databases and ensure consistency with engineering standards and project requirements.
Write detailed technical reports and ensure clear communication across all project interfaces.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
10–15 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience in the energy, LNG, or process industries.
Proven experience in mechanical engineering roles (rotating/static/packaged equipment) for LNG receiving terminal projects.
Exposure to Green Hydrogen and Green Ammonia project development is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge in developing engineering deliverables for FS, Pre-FEED, and FEED studies.
Experience in international engineering consultancy or EPCM firms is preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
Highly collaborative, adaptable, and capable of working in a dynamic team environment.
