Responsibilities
Senior Network Reliability Engineer
on the OCI Network Availability team, ensuring high availability and performance of Oracle Cloud's global network infrastructure, applying engineering methods to measure, monitor, and automate reliability for OCI’s network across a distributed environment.
Respond to network disruptions quickly, identify root causes, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to restore services.
Automate daily operations, improve workflow efficiency, and optimize network performance across OCI's global footprint, managing hundreds of thousands of network devices on backbone infrastructure, CLoS networks, and the internet.
Design, deploy, and manage large-scale network solutions
that power OCI, ensuring reliability and performance at a global scale.
Collaborate and drive change
by using best practices and tools to implement network changes safely and work with cross-functional teams to improve network performance.
Incident response and troubleshooting
by leading break-fix for network events, escalating where needed, and performing post-event root cause analysis.
Automation and efficiency
by creating and maintaining scripts to automate routine network tasks and streamline operations with business units.
Mentorship and knowledge sharing
by guiding junior engineers and fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
Network monitoring and performance analysis
by working with monitoring teams to gather telemetry, build dashboards, and set up alerts to track network health and performance.
Vendor collaboration
with network vendors and technical account teams to resolve issues, qualify firmware/OS, and ensure network ecosystem stability.
On-call support
by participating in on-call rotations to provide after-hours support for critical network events.
