Responsibilities
Network Design and Management
Design, implement, and maintain the company’s network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, firewalls, routers, switches, and VPNs, to ensure high availability and performance.
Monitor and maintain network health, ensuring robustness.
Cloud and On-Premises Infrastructure
Manage and maintain the organization’s cloud networking environments (AWS, AliCloud, OCI).
Ensure secure and efficient integration between cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
Support hybrid cloud initiatives as required.
Network Performance and Monitoring
Proactively monitor network performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve any network outages or technical incidents in a timely manner.
Provide regular performance reports and conduct root cause analysis for recurrent issues.
Business and Stakeholder Collaboration
Work closely with internal teams and external service providers to support business growth and network expansion.
Collaborate with stakeholders to design and deliver network solutions that meet organizational needs.
Project Management
Lead network-related projects, including infrastructure upgrades, onboarding new tools, and implementing new technologies.
Manage timelines, vendor relationships, and budgets for network initiatives.
Compliance and Documentation
Ensure all systems comply with regulatory and industry standards.
Document all network-related processes, configurations, and changes.
Qualifications
Educational Qualifications
Bachelor or master degree in computer science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
10+ years of experience in networking roles.
Experience in managing complex network environments and enterprise infrastructure.
Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, AliCloud or OCI.
Hands-on experience of managing Palo Alto, Fortinet or Cisco firewalls.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in networking technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), and network security (firewalls, IDS/IPS).
Familiarity with enterprise technologies such as VPN, SD-WAN, QoS, and load balancing.
Knowledge of cloud networking architecture and services.
Experience with tools for network monitoring and management (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark, Nagios, Prometheus).
Certifications (Preferred)
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or higher certification.
AWS Certification.
ITIL Certification or other relevant certifications are a plus.
Soft Skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
Analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to network issues.
Additional Qualifications
Familiarity with compliance requirements in the Singapore or APAC region would be advantageous.
Experience with on-premises data centers and disaster recovery is a plus.
