Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking an experienced
Platform Support Engineer
to join their growing technology team.
In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and scalability of critical enterprise systems and shared platforms.
You'll also have the opportunity to work with modern technologies like
Java, Python, Elastic Stack , and
cloud-native platforms (AWS/GCP) , contributing to continuous system improvement and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Stability & Enhancement
Ensure system reliability, scalability, and performance through proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization.
Collaborate with internal platform teams and vendors to deliver system enhancements and production changes.
Observability & Monitoring
Develop and enhance observability tools using
Elastic, Logstash, and Kibana (ELK Stack) .
Build and maintain dashboards and alerts to detect anomalies and ensure smooth system operations.
Compliance & System Hygiene
Maintain compliance with company standards, internal controls, and audit requirements.
Manage regular system patching, vulnerability resolution, and evidence documentation.
Operational & Production Support
Handle application recovery, testing, and performance validation.
Provide off-hours or weekend support when necessary to ensure high system availability.
Troubleshoot and resolve application, performance, and security issues.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in
Computer Science, Engineering, or related field .
At least 5 years
of experience as a
Platform Engineer, System Analyst, or Software Developer .
Strong hands-on experience with:
Java, Spring Boot, MySQL, Python
Cloud platforms
such as
AWS or GCP
- deployment, configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting
Linux and Windows OS
- support, maintenance, and optimization
Experience with
observability tools
(Elastic, Logstash, Kibana) is a strong advantage.
Skilled in
scripting
(Shell, Python, SQL, PowerShell).
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a collaborative mindset.
Willingness to provide after-hours or weekend support as needed.
Strong focus on
reliability, automation, and continuous improvement .
