Storage & Yard Planning
- Plan and allocate appropriate transit storage locations for arriving vessels.
- Conduct checks on warehouses and open yards to identify suitable storage areas for discharging and loading cargo.
- Coordinate with Berthing and GCO Operations to allocate storage locations within a 400m radius of the assigned berth to optimize yard and warehouse utilization.
- Review and update the daily cargo storage plan after vessel discharge is completed.
- Analyse and evaluate cargo storage space usage to improve planning and maximize efficiency
Short-Term Lease Management
- Plan, assign, and track areas used for short-term leases.
- Close applications upon cargo delivery or shipment.
- Measure leased areas and prepare weekly or monthly rental charges for tenants.
Operations & Team Management
- Draft SOPs, train shift officers, and raise competency levels within the team.
- Ensure shift teams adhere to SOPs and address manpower or disciplinary issues before escalating to the Manager.
- Validate and raise manual bills for unauthorized overnight parking of chassis reported by night shift officers.
- Investigate appeal cases by port users and provide recommendations to the Manager.
- Review space requests for stuffing/unstuffing activities and close applications in JP-Online.
System & Administrative Support
- Perform the role of EHR Administrator for the Yard Planning Team.
- Prepare manpower rosters and arrange overtime coverage with Manager's approval.
- Coordinate with the Digitalization team on SMART system issues and perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) when required.
Job Requirements
- Minimum Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Maritime Studies.
- 3–5 years of experience in the shipping or logistics industry, with hands-on storage planning and operations exposure.
- Strong IT knowledge and proficiency in systems.
- Possess a valid Class 3 driving license.
