The A*STAR Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology (IMCB) is inviting applications for a Senior Principal Investigator to lead a research programme in proteomics, with a focus on single cell proteomics, spatial biology or low input proteomics.
We are looking for a creative and driven scientist to develop new molecular strategies for treating disease and contribute to IMCB?s mission of advancing scientific discovery, enabling technology innovation, and supporting Singapore?s growing biotech ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and direct research programs in single cell, spatial proteomics or low input proteomics, driving innovation in technology development, and applications in biomedical research.Develop, optimize, and implement cutting-edge mass spectrometry?based methods, workflows, and analytical pipelines for the characterization of proteins at single-cell resolution and from ultra-low input samples.Provide scientific and professional mentorship to junior scientists, postdoctoral fellows, and research staff; foster a culture of scientific rigor and innovation.Contribute to institute-wide strategy in proteomics and omics integration, identifying opportunities for new research directions and capabilities.Secure competitive research funding, author high-impact publications, and represent the organization at international conferences.To initiate and execute novel research projects, to translate research outputs into clinical or industrial collaborationsBuild collaborations across A*STAR, and the broader Singapore ecosystemQualifications and Requirements
PhD in Chemistry, Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, or a related fieldMinimum 12 years of leading a lab in the proteomics or related fields and track record of securing competitive fundingA track record of publications in leading scientific journalsExperience working in multidisciplinary teams and managing research projectsExcellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
