Job Summary:
The Senior Project Engineer plays a key role in the successful delivery of the
Changi Airport Terminal 5 (T5) project .
This position oversees engineering, construction coordination, and site execution for assigned project packages, ensuring works are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
The role involves interfacing with multiple stakeholders, including consultants, contractors, and authorities, for a highly complex and critical infrastructure development.
Key Responsibilities:
1.
Project Planning and Coordination
Support the Project Manager in developing detailed work plans, schedules, and budgets for assigned project scopes.
Coordinate design, engineering, and construction activities between consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
Review design drawings, shop drawings, and technical submissions to ensure constructability and compliance.
Plan and sequence construction activities to align with master schedule milestones.

Construction Execution and Supervision
Lead site implementation for assigned work packages (civil, structural, architectural, or M&E).
Monitor site progress, resolve technical and construction issues, and ensure adherence to specifications.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with design intent, safety regulations, and quality standards.
Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and ensure smooth workflow across interfaces.
3.
Safety, Quality, and Compliance
Ensure strict compliance with workplace safety and health regulations, in line with Changi Airport Group’s safety requirements.
Implement quality control measures, review inspection and test plans (ITP), and coordinate site inspections.
Participate in risk assessments and method statement reviews.
4.
Cost and Schedule Control
Track project progress and report deviations from schedule or budget.
Identify potential delays, risks, and issues; propose and implement mitigation actions.
Support project reporting, progress claims, and variation assessments.
5.
Stakeholder and Interface Management
Liaise with client representatives, consultants, and authorities (e.g., CAG, BCA, LTA, SCDF) for technical clarifications and approvals.
Coordinate with adjacent work packages to manage interface risks.
Participate in coordination meetings and present progress and technical updates.
Ad-hoc duties as assigned by superior(s).
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related discipline.
Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in infrastructure projects, preferably with exposure to airport projects.
Possess skills, knowledge and ability to supervise and manage project effectively.
Independent, diligent, result-oriented and self-driven team player with good communication skills.
