Primary Objective(s) of Position
- Responsible for the management of design and development of all aspects of projects including tendering, contract review, design, drawing, scheduling, purchasing, testing, packing, shipment and commissioning of marine, oil and gas engines and respective associated propulsion and / or power generations systems, as per customers' requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible and accountable for engine, engine driven product and genset assembly, from contract award to final product shipment.
- Review design and specifications of marine engines, propulsion system and power generation system required by prospective customers.
- Provide comprehensive system and design solutions with alternative proposals to meet customers' requirement on their needs.
- Prepare cost estimates, technical specifications and design drawings of power solution system.
- Provide technical support for energy and transportation system sales and marketing activities.
- Coordinate all mechanical and electrical interfacing of designated projects to meet specifications.
- Instruct draughts person to prepare mechanical and electrical drawings for tender replies and awarded projects according to customers' specifications.

- Ensure generation of project plan and conduct regular project management meetings.
- Supervise project team on all project works.
- Coordinate and manage contractors / vendors on engine assembly / packaging works.
- Assist with final technical inspections and testing of equipment.
- Monitor project expenditure by maintaining cost tracking sheet.
- Manage on site commissioning as and when required.
- Conduct post project review meetings.
- Attend to customer feedback.
- Follow-up on invoicing and payments.
- Attend/Conduct engineering and project meetings both in Singapore and overseas (when required).
- Assist in review and update of department procedures and manuals.
- Fulfill any other duties as and when assigned by the superiors.

Person Specifications
- Possess at least a Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Mechanical) or possess at least 4 to 5 years of related experience in Power Generation Engineering and Project Management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
- Must have knowledge in power systems (mechanical and electrical).
- Must possess good interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Must possess strong leadership qualities and supervisory skills.
- Must be able to write and correspond with external parties and internal departments.
- Must have good customer orientation in order to fulfil customers' expectations and demands at all times.
- Must have high propensity for accurate information.
- Highly organized to meet schedules and deadlines.
- Able to travel as and when required.
- Knowledge of SAP system is an added advantage.
