Job Description
Krislite is seeking a proven Senior Project Manager to provide strategic oversight and end-to-end leadership of multiple lighting projects and programs from concept to completion.
The role centers on portfolio-level planning, stakeholder coordination, and the timely, cost-effective delivery of lighting systems that meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and performance.
The ideal candidate brings more than 5 years of experience, leading complex, concurrent projects in the lighting, construction, or engineering sectors and a strong record of managing and developing project managers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full lifecycle of multiple lighting projects and programs, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure; ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
- Manage and mentor a team of project managers and coordinators; set delivery standards, provide guidance, and ensure consistent execution across concurrent projects.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including lighting manufacturers, clients, consultants, and contractors; preserve design intent and resolve interfaces promptly.
- Develop and maintain integrated project schedules, timelines, and budgets; proactively manage variances to protect margin targets.
- Direct procurement strategies and oversee technical submissions, approvals, ordering, factory inspections when required, and delivery of lighting fixtures aligned to milestones.
- Supervise site activities across multiple locations; ensure installations comply with approved design plans, method statements, and safety requirements; lead on-site reviews, stakeholder walkdowns, and testing and commissioning.
- Identify and mitigate portfolio risks and issues; run structured change control to prevent delays and budget overruns.
- Conduct weekly project and portfolio reviews; provide clear status updates, forecasts, and timely escalation where required.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards across all projects; champion a zero-incident culture and robust QA and QC.
- Oversee project documentation, including quotations, technical submissions, variations or change orders, contractual correspondence, and close out reports.
- Recommend practical, cost-efficient solutions that optimize profitability, resources, and delivery outcomes.
- Build and maintain long-term client and partner relationships to support repeat business and referrals.
- Maintain a strong, regular on-site presence to coordinate works, engage stakeholders, and resolve issues promptly across active projects.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Building Services, Project Management, or a related field.
- More than 5 years of project management experience with significant exposure to lighting, construction, or engineering.
- Proven ability to lead and develop a team of project managers and coordinators.
- Strong knowledge of lighting systems, controls, construction workflows, and project coordination practices.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously while maintaining high quality standards.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Project; experience with AutoCAD, DIALux, or similar software is advantageous.
- Highly organized with a detail-oriented, solution-focused mindset and a track record of risk mitigation and change control.
- Strong team collaboration skills with the ability to lead cross-functional coordination across design, procurement, logistics, and site teams.
- Comfortable with frequent on-site work and travel for coordination, inspections, and client meetings as required.
- Krislite may support an S Pass for eligible candidates, subject to Ministry of Manpower (MOM) requirements and approval.
