**Senior Research Analyst II (Olefins)** **Dow Jones Singapore**



**About the Role:**

We are looking for an analyst to support our Light Olefins service through regular industry engagement, timely pricing inputs, and ownership of weekly/monthly market reports.

The role involves analyzing supply-demand dynamics, collaborating with global teams on key initiatives, and supporting client discussions with data-driven insights.

You'll also contribute to the commercial growth of our service by promoting our market expertise.

This role reports to the Research and Analysis Associate Director.

Chemical Market Analytics by OPIS, a Dow Jones company, enables stakeholders in the global chemical industry to improve operational efficiency with deep insights, future outlooks, price discovery and consultation from a celebrated team of subject matter experts.

**You Will:**



+ Provide weekly/monthly light olefins pricing inputs through the interaction with industry players.

+ Respond to client questions and serve as a resource for client brainstorming/discussions as required.

+ Update the charts and tables that get published in the report on a routine basis; own the responsibility to publish the report.

+ Work on supply-demand dynamics of the light olefins products

+ Coordinate with global colleagues for both regional and global new initiatives.

+ Promote Chemical Market Analytics expertise on the value chain and be responsible for the commercial growth of the service



**You Have:**



+ 5+ years of chemical industry experience is preferred

+ Demonstrated passion or interest in the petrochemical industry

+ Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.

Bilingual is a plus.

+ Demonstrated ability to cooperatively work across an organization at multiple levels to efficiently and effectively utilize the resources and knowledge base available in a team approach.

+ Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure to achieve set deadlines and with a high attention to detail.

+ Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Professional Suite.

+ Strong interpersonal, analytical and communication skills (written and oral).

+ Self-motivated, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team to achieve results.

+ Flexible working hours with the option to work from home or in the office, coordinated with teammates.
