Job Summary: An exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team, driving sales and business growth in the equipment sales industry.
Responsibilities:
- Execute the entire selling process, from identifying customers through sales leads, referrals, cold calls, etc., to creating demand and capturing orders by building relationships and formulating product solutions and specifications based on customers' needs.
- Develop sales strategy to grow the assigned product business, including developing the Road-To-Market strategy, targeted industries and customer segments, value-added solution selling, etc.
- Prepare quotations and tenders, negotiate terms, and check all commercial terms of offer and order of acceptance to ensure compliance with Levels of Authority and other relevant MIS policies.
- Develop and/or enhance product presentation materials and participate in sales meetings with customers to do sales pitch, assess and address customers' needs, and provide feasible technical solutions to close sales deals professionally.
- Participate in marketing research, planning, and sales forecasting to ensure targeted market and potential customer bases are fully tapped to generate a steady stream of revenue and maintain profitability levels.
- Maintain an up-to-date record of competitors' products, market activities, industry trends, customers' buying trends, and share best practices during sales meetings/discussions.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of Project Specification Sheets (PSS) for each sales order to facilitate proper and effective kick-off handover to the Project Department.
- Actively use the Customer Relationship Management (C4C) tool to monitor, analyze, and communicate monthly sales data to manage personal targets and contribute to product and service planning.
- Monitor the debtors' list periodically and coordinate with the Finance Department to ensure timely invoicing and follow up with customers on all overdue accounts to ensure prompt collection and settlement of overdue debts.
- Establish and maintain long-term customer satisfaction through periodic visits to customers to monitor the performance of delivered products and services.
- Participate with a representative from the Project and/or Service Department to ensure proper and complete handover of projects to customers, resolving any outstanding issues during the handover.
- Ensure that procedures and instructions in the QMS and EHS are adhered to and carried out in compliance with specified requirements.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in equipment sales or a related field.
- Class 3 driving license.
- Relevant sales knowledge in the construction and overhead cranes industry is an added advantage.
