Responsibilities
Position Purpose:
We are seeking a seasoned professional to join as PR & Communications Manager, APAC.
This individual will collaborate with APAC executives, agencies, and marketing teams to deliver clear, consistent, and positive impact across key channels.
The role will lead regional communications strategies, manage budgets and processes, and drive performance against strategic goals — including brand awareness, executive visibility (e.g. media, events, presentations), and marketing initiatives (e.g. StoneX Studio).
Primary duties will include:
Independently manage the strategic communications strategy for APAC, aligned with marketing and business objectivesOwn and evaluate external agency partnerships in the regionDevelop and manage relationships between media and StoneX representativesProactively pitch the StoneX business and representatives for commentary pickup, thought leadership, and other relevant opportunities for exposureDraft press materials, talking points, executive op-eds, and marketing communicationsTrain and support to StoneX representatives for various media formatsProvide crisis and issues management support to regional and global leadershipOversee media monitoring to track news coverage and guide strategy based on positive and negative media trendsCoordinate with internal stakeholders including Marketing, Product, Legal, HR, ORM and Executive teamsDevelop frameworks for regional communications strategies, operations, standards and performance metrics, in alignment with global frameworksProvide monthly impact reports on regional communications strategies Qualifications
To land this role you will need
10+ years of experience in public relations, media relations, or corporate communications, preferably with a mix of in-house and agency rolesProven success in leading strategic communications efforts that generate measurable brand visibility within financial servicesDeep relationships with media across APAC, including top-tier financial, business, and trade publicationsStrong background in crisis communications, reputation management, and executive profilingAbility to communicate complex financial topics across varied audiences and formatsExperience working in matrixed, international organizations and cross-functional teamsData-driven approach to measurement and reportingComfortable operating autonomously in a lean, hands-on environment, while also contributing to long-term strategyExperience integrating media outreach with broader marketing initiatives, such as thought leadership, events, and digital contentFlexibility to operate across time zones to support high-priority communications, as neededFluency in Mandarin is preferredWorking environment:
