Senior Technical Superintendent (DP Vessels)

Faststream is partnering with a well-established ship management company to recruit for an experienced Senior Technical cum DP Superintendent to oversee a fleet of DP-classed offshore vessels (DP2/DP3).

Key Responsibilities Safety & Compliance

• Actively involved in incident investigations, SEMM reviews, and emergency response planning.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for machinery failures.
• Issue technical circulars, oversee MOC processes, and support audits and risk assessments.
• Conduct senior management ship visits in line with HSSEQ compliance.

Operational Oversight

• Ensure vessels operate in full compliance with Charter Party agreements.
• Monitor budgets, vessel uptime, operating costs, and manage insurance claims.
• Maintain compliance with class, flag, port state, and all international regulations.

Technical & Procurement

• Ensure PMS (TM Master) is updated and aligned with OEM and operational needs.
• Lead the Technical & Procurement team, including superintendents, buyers, and tech admins.
• Supervise dry-docking, major repairs, and maintenance projects.
• Oversee fleet DP systems, participate in FMEA, DP trials, and audits.
• Manage vendor relationships, ensure timely procurement, and drive cost efficiency.
• Conduct regular vessel visits, audits, and ensure closure of all technical findings.

Crewing

• Oversee the technical competency of crew onboard assigned vessels.
• Evaluate sea and office staff performance and conduct senior officer briefings.
• Support in crew interviews and selection processes.

What We’re Looking For

• At least 5 years of shore-based experience in a technical superintendent or fleet management role.
• Strong background in managing DP2/DP3 offshore vessels – DP experience is essential.
• Degree in Marine Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
• Excellent knowledge of marine machinery, DP systems, and compliance frameworks.
• Willingness to travel for vessel inspections and provide after-hours support across time zones.
