Senior Technician

We are looking for a skilled Automation Technician to join our team.
You will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our plant's automation equipment, including Autonomous Mobile Robots, Automated Strapping and Unstrapping Equipment, and Automated Materials Handling Systems.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot, recover and resolve equipment breakdowns on plant automation equipment such as Autonomous Mobile Robots, Automated Strapping and Unstrapping Equipment, Automated Materials Handling System, Automated Storage & Retrieval System, and Automated Packing Equipment
Troubleshoot and resolve basic computer hardware and software issues independently or with IT engineer assistance
Perform system and server recovery on automation/manufacturing systems (e.g., storage system, transportation system, remote command center)
Assist engineers on software roll-out and periodic system/server OS & AV patching and updates
Impart basic operation and troubleshooting skills to operators
Perform automation equipment critical checks and restoration
Perform preventive maintenance on automation equipment
Support engineers on equipment continuous improvement programs
Assist engineers on spare part management
Qualifications
Diploma or equivalent in Mechatronics, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
Preferably 3-5 years of relevant experience with automation equipment
Team player with ability to work independently
Good interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Willing to learn and quickly pick up new skills
Willing to work on a 12-hour permanent day/night shift
NITEC / Higher NITEC holder welcome if they have a minimum of 5 years’ experience with automation equipment
