Role
We are looking to bring on board an experienced, enthusiastic and commercially-minded Senior/BD Manager to help drive the firm's growth strategy in Singapore and across the region.
Kennedys is one of the leading global insurance and dispute resolution law firms with 25 years of experience in the Asia Pacific region.
We are one of the few international law firms in Singapore that operate under a joint law venture (JLV).
In 2015, the JLV was established between Kennedys Singapore and Legal Solutions LLC to become Kennedys Legal Solutions.
The JLV structure means we can litigate in the courts of Singapore.
Kennedys Legal Solutions has 11 partners and 40 lawyers.
Working closely with the Singapore partners and other key stakeholders, the Senior/BD Manager will drive profitable growth, enhance the client experience, and build new business development capabilities.
The Senior/BD Manager will provide commercial advice on strategic plans, drive go-to-market strategies, manage key client accounts, support major pursuits, and collaborate with partners to develop business development strategies.
The Senior/BD Manager will work closely with colleagues across APAC and globally to 'join the dots'.
The role will involve leadership of a small team in Singapore and interface with the wider team in APAC and globally for support and collaboration.
This role will report to the Head of Business Development & Marketing, APAC.
Key Responsibilities
Work with partners to develop and deliver the firm's strategy and business development plan for Singapore and assigned regional product groups.Design and oversee the implementation of a program of business development and marketing activities for the Singapore office, focussing on key clients and product groups.Work with the Head of Business Development & Marketing, APAC to deliver the firm's Global Client Program, the APAC Regional Client Program and a local client program in Singapore.
Responsible for driving certain local and regional strategic client relationships.Work with key stakeholders to drive the firm's client insights programme, take part in the interviews and follow up with clients.Help coach and advise partners and lawyers to enhance their client and BD skills.Act as connector for both clients, partners and colleagues, identifying opportunities between product groups, clients and geographies.Project manage pursuits, and help partners to prepare for strategic pursuits.
Be a proactive internal consultant, coaching partners and others involved in winning new business in the art of developing competitive, commercial propositions.Work closely with partners and key stakeholders to drive thought leadership initiatives that are aligned to strategic priorities.Analyse market and client intelligence to inform strategy and enable sharp decision-making. Previous experience in a business development / client development role within a law firm or global professional services firm.Knowledge of the insurance sector desirable.Comfortable navigating complexity and high expectations in a global law firm environment.Highly organised and able to prioritise workloads, manage multiple projects and negotiate deadlines.
