Key Duties and Responsibilities
Manage the drafting, review, and negotiation of contracts for precast supply, fabrication, erection, transport, and installation.
Coordinate closely with project managers, estimators, procurement, and engineering teams to align contractual obligations with project timelines and technical specifications.
Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial and contractual risks related to project delivery, scheduling, and logistics.
Ensure all contracts comply with relevant construction regulations, codes, and standards (e.g., structural integrity, load-bearing limits, environmental compliance).
Maintain strong client relationships while protecting company interests during negotiations and issue resolution.
Track and manage contract performance, including variations, claims, extensions of time (EOT), and disputes.
Develop standard contract templates and implement best practices specific to the precast and civil construction sector.
Oversee contract close-out, final account settlements, and post-contract reviews.
Support internal training and development of contract and commercial team members.
Liaise with legal counsel when needed on high-value or complex disputes.
Job Requirements (Specific Skills or Knowledge)
Bachelor’s degree in Law, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
8+ years of contract management experience in the precast, construction, or civil engineering industry.
Strong knowledge of relevant contract frameworks.
Experience with supply chain contracts, subcontractor agreements, and construction delivery schedules.
Strong understanding of industry-specific risks such as site access delays, transport logistics, structural tolerance, and off-site manufacturing lead times.
Proficient in MS Office, contract management software, and ERP tools
