Job description

What the role is:

You will be part of the Port and industry integration Planning team that formulates and implements the port-industry integration plan to fulfil the strategies set out under the Port Master Plan for Singapores Next Generation Port (NGP).

The key responsibilities include:

  • Planning of electrical substations at the public landing facilities
  • Planning of charging stations for electrical harbour crafts at public landing facilities and offshore islands/anchorages
  • Planning of energy storage systems for marine facilities
  • Liaising with EMA and SPPG on works required for upgrading of substation
  • Planning of submarine energy cable in consideration of optimal routes and minimising energy loss
  • Coordinating with agencies for planning approvals and necessary studies
  • Prepare and carry processes for funding requirements

What we are looking for:

  • Candidates with at least 5 years experiences in the planning and development of electrical infrastructure including electrical substations and/or charging station for EVs.
  • Experiences in planning and development of large-scale submarine cables (electrical and communication cables) would be an added advantage
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Details-oriented.

  • Successful candidates will be appointed on a 2-year contract at the first instance
