ServiceNow Application Developer — Technical Lead role at Peoplebank Asia.
Location: Central, Singapore.
Type: 1-year contract, Full-time.
Salary: Up to
SGD 11,500/month .
About the Role
We’re hiring a
ServiceNow Developer (App Engine)
who can combine hands-on build with technical leadership.
You’ll architect and deliver custom applications on
ServiceNow App Engine , mentor junior developers, and set the engineering bar for quality, performance, and maintainability.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end development of
custom apps on ServiceNow App Engine
(design, build, test, deploy).
Provide
technical mentorship , establish
coding standards , and conduct code reviews.
Design complex
workflows, business rules, client/UI policies/actions , and
Service Portal
components.
Build integrations with
Flow Designer
and
Integration Hub ; implement
REST/SOAP APIs .
Troubleshoot complex platform issues; drive root cause analysis and remediation.
Produce technical documentation, run knowledge-sharing sessions, and contribute to solution architecture.
Estimate effort, plan technical deliverables, and collaborate in
Agile
ceremonies.
Required Qualifications
7+ years
of ServiceNow development & implementation, including
3+ years
hands-on with
App Engine .
Current ServiceNow certifications (e.g.,
CAD ,
CIS ).
Experience in
≥2 large-scale
ServiceNow implementations.
Strong
JavaScript
and ServiceNow scripting expertise.
Demonstrated technical leadership and developer mentoring.
Technical Skills
Advanced with
App Engine Studio
& App Engine Templates.
Deep knowledge of platform capabilities/limits; performance-minded design.
Proficiency in:
Business Rules ,
Client Scripts ,
UI Policies/Actions
Workflows ,
Flow Designer ,
Integration Hub
Service Portal
development
Source control & deployment tools (e.g., Git, CI/CD)
REST/SOAP
web services & APIs
Leadership & Soft Skills
Proven ability to
mentor
junior engineers and conduct technical training.
Rigorous
code review
and quality assurance mindset.
Clear communicator—able to translate complex tech concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
Strong estimation, planning, and ownership of technical deliverables.
Additional Requirements
Experience working in
Agile
environments (Scrum/Kanban).
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
Comfortable working
independently
and as part of a team.
Strong documentation habits.
Preferred
Experience across multiple
ServiceNow releases
and
platform upgrades .
Knowledge of
ITIL
processes and governance.
Performance tuning/optimization experience.
Background in establishing
ServiceNow best practices
and platform standards.
