Job Description
We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer with a strong background in App Engine development to join our dynamic team.
This role is ideal for a hands-on technologist who also thrives in a leadership capacity—guiding junior developers, setting best practices, and delivering complex ServiceNow solutions with excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and implementation of custom applications using ServiceNow App Engine.
Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior developers.
Develop and optimize complex workflows, business rules, and custom applications.
Define and enforce coding standards, best practices, and maintain code quality across the team.
Conduct code reviews and ensure all deliverables meet quality and performance standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specs and knowledge base articles.
Participate in architecture discussions and solution design sessions, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 7 years of ServiceNow development and implementation experience.
At least 3 years of hands‐on experience with ServiceNow App Engine development.
Current ServiceNow certifications, such as:
Certified Application Developer (CAD)
Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS)
Experience in at least two large‐scale ServiceNow implementations.
Strong expertise in JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting.
Proven technical leadership and mentoring experience.
Technical Skills
Advanced proficiency in ServiceNow App Engine Studio and App Engine Templates.
Deep understanding of ServiceNow platform capabilities and limitations.
Expertise in:
Business Rules
Project Scripts
UI Policies & Actions
Workflows & Flow Designer
Integration Hub
Service Portal Development
Experience with source control and deployment tools.
Strong knowledge of REST/SOAP web services and APIs.
Leadership Skills
Demonstrated ability to mentor and coach junior developers.
Experience in conducting technical training sessions.
Strong code review, QA, and performance optimization capabilities.
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear communication for non‐technical stakeholders.
Skilled in effort estimation, delivery planning, and managing technical deliverables.
Additional Requirement
Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments.

Proven ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment.
Strong technical documentation and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with multiple ServiceNow releases and platform upgrades.
Knowledge of ITIL frameworks and IT Service Management processes.
Experience in performance tuning, optimization, and ServiceNow governance.
Additional certifications in relevant technologies or methodologies.
