As a Solutions Engineer in the Solutions Engineering team, it is your core responsibility to design the prospect’s end-state solution based on Backbase software.
It’s a combination of educating, designing and evangelizing, empowered by a strong global team of specialists.
As a Senior Solutions Engineer in the Solutions Engineering team, your goal is to design the prospect’s end-state solution together with the prospect.
You propose the right solution by understanding the prospect’s challenges and the value to be realized.
You will be part of the Solutions Engineering team (Sales) and the larger Solutions Group, fulfilling a leading role earned by excellent performance.
You translate requirements into distinguished solutions by linking technical details to business outcomes.
Whether you talk to the board of directors, department heads or engineering teams, you turn every red light green.
You love to travel and stay abroad.
We work on a global scale, so if you don’t already own a platinum flying card, you will within a year.
You will join prospects in their exploration of Backbase products to help them achieve their digital ambitions.
As an all-round expert on digital transformations, you navigate the full sales cycle—from technology deep dives and leading proofs of concepts to leading workshops and generating feedback.

Responsibilities
Design the prospect’s end-state solution based on Backbase software, educating, designing and evangelizing with support from a global team of specialists.
Engage in the full sales cycle, including technology deep dives, leading proofs of concepts, leading workshops and collecting feedback.
Collaborate with prospects and stakeholders to translate requirements into distinguished solutions.
Travel and engage with prospects across global regions as part of the Solutions Engineering team (Sales) and the broader Solutions Group.
Qualifications
8+ years of work experience as a (digital) banking consultant for a leading vendor; banking, payments, tech or SaaS experience is a plus.
A can-do mentality is more important than years of experience.
Smart, digitally savvy and entrepreneurial; a true team player with a sense of humor, hands-on and self-motivated, able to drive progress and hit deadlines.
Well-rounded and experienced consultant with strong analytical, quantitative and conceptual thinking skills.
Enjoy teaching new concepts and industry insights to customers and colleagues.
Understand the high bar for a great and impactful sales cycle and deliverables.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to ensure successful customer engagements across multiple teams, cultures and timezones.
Excellent English and Spanish speaking, writing and presentation skills, with the ability to persuade, inspire and motivate others.
Knowledge of enterprise software architectures and current mobile and web technologies.
Proficiency with technologies such as Java, Spring, Angular, iOS, Android and Kubernetes.
