Responsibilities:**
- Prepare all relevant documentation for shipments, including customs documents, letters of credit, and other necessary paperwork.
- Monitor the progress of all shipments in real-time, providing regular updates to
internally & customer.
Address any delays or issues promptly and take corrective actions and pre-alerts to customers.
- Ensure timely billing and accuracy of the invoices.
- Manage and plan import and export processes, customs documentation, shipping, and receiving of foreign merchandise in a global matrixed company
- Coordinate closely with various internal departments, warehouse team to ensure smooth cargo flow and timely shipments.
- Maintain open and effective communication with customers regarding shipment status, delays, and any relevant updates.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns promptly.
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years in a related field or equivalent experience
- Comprehensive Knowledge of international practices, incoterms, legal terms, shipping terms and its relation to sales/purchase of contracts.
- Good understanding of requirements in trade execution in a trading company
- Knowledge of UCP 600 & ISBP; Comprehensive Knowledge of shipping and international practices e.g. C/P terms and its relation to sales/purchase of contracts, laytime calculations, B/L requirements, including insurance classifications
