Overview
HBA Graphics is the Wayfinding & Signage and Branding Design division of Hirsch Bedner Associates (HBA), the world’s leading hospitality design firm.

We create brand environments via visual communications for brand identity, signage and wayfinding, and environmental graphics, spanning hospitality, commercial and food & beverage industries, with projects located in APAC and The Middle East.


This role is based in Singapore.

Our office is located in the CBD area and is easily accessible by public transportation.

You would work in a multi-cultural and diverse environment.

We are seeking an experienced Wayfinding & Signage Designer to join our creative design team focusing on intuitive and visually appealing wayfinding systems within hospitality environments and mixed-use developments.

Job Summary
You will create engaging wayfinding strategies and impactful signage design systems while collaborating closely with interior designers, architects and other stakeholders to develop innovative wayfinding solutions that align with project goals and brand identities.

You will manage the design process from conceptualisation through to tender coordination and final installation.

Your expertise in materials, production techniques and installation methods will be essential.


Key Responsibilities
Manage projects from concept to implementation, guiding designers, managing project deliverables, and coordinating with consultants.


Develop user-centric wayfinding concepts.


Apply strategic design thinking to create wayfinding strategies and systems.


Conceptualise designs through meaningful storytelling and articulate design decisions to clients and stakeholders.


Present design work to clients with strong presentation skills.


Collaborate with clients, designers and stakeholders to gather project requirements, present design work, and address project-specific challenges.


Visualise and document ideas in 2D and 3D.


Demonstrate strong illustration, typography, composition and information design skills.


Plan, document and manage wayfinding and signage projects, including familiarity with architectural construction documents, sections, plans and elevations, and drawing to scale.


Have working knowledge of print production, signage fabrication and materials, with vendor management experience.


Assist clients with the tender procurement process.


Monitor fabrication and installation processes through site visits to ensure adherence to design intent.


Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, industrial design, architecture or similar.


Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in wayfinding design, ideally with hospitality projects and large-scale developments.


Proven experience and portfolio of wayfinding and signage design projects.


Singaporean / Singapore PR (no visa sponsorship required).


Strong understanding of materials, production techniques and installation methods.


Knowledge of local regulations and standards for signage and wayfinding.


Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).

Knowledge of CAD tools (AutoCAD), SketchUp, or other 3D programs is preferred.


Fluency in English; Mandarin Chinese would be an advantage.
