Responsibilities
HR Business Partnering
* Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, providing expert HR advice to support business outcomes and foster a positive workplace culture.
* Advise and coach managers and employees on HR matters, ensuring alignment with corporate policies and strategic goals.
* Act as a key communication link between management and employees on HR policies, procedures, and initiatives.
* Provide guidance and training on performance management, disciplinary actions, and workplace conduct.
* Lead or support investigations into employee conduct and recommend appropriate resolutions.
* Participate in strategic planning sessions and team meetings, contributing HR insights.
* Drive and execute strategic HR projects aligned with business objectives.
* Promote and implement HR initiatives across operational teams.
* Manage return-to-work processes for injured employees in partnership with relevant department managers.
* Ensure timely, clear, and effective communication to employees to support engagement and collaboration.
Recruitment & Onboarding
* Partner with hiring managers to recruit and onboard new employees, ensuring talent acquisition aligns with role requirements and company standards.
* Oversee the probation process and provide advice on position descriptions and remuneration in collaboration with the ANZ HR Team.
* Ensure seamless onboarding experiences for new employees in coordination with line managers.
Payroll Management
* Oversee the preparation and execution of monthly payroll using Ready HR, ensuring timely and accurate salary payments.
* Maintain master payroll and HR data, including new hires, terminations, leave balances, allowances, and deductions.
* Coordinate with international payroll providers to ensure accurate payment for employees engaged through third parties.
* Provide expert guidance on payroll-related matters to managers and staff, maintaining a strong customer service focus.
* Uphold confidentiality in all payroll processes and communications.
* Stay updated on payroll and tax legislation, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
* Develop and update payroll policies, supporting benchmarking and policy reviews.
* Monitor payroll data for discrepancies, take corrective actions, and report variances.
* Manage employee records and provide required employment data to external agencies as needed.
* Liaise with managers to obtain payroll-related information in a timely manner.
* Guarantee compliance with contractual and legislative requirements for salary payments.
* Safeguard data integrity in payroll systems and processes.
Reporting
* Maintain accurate records for leave and overtime and generate reports as required.
* Prepare management reports, employee statistics, and end-of-month reporting including headcount, turnover, labour costs, OH&S, and more.
* Prepare, reconcile, and balance tax summaries and payment documents.
* Maintain detailed records on employee transactions such as hires, transfers, reviews, and terminations for reporting and audit purposes.
* Ensure adherence to legal requirements and government reporting obligations related to HR.
HR Planning & Initiatives
* Contribute to the execution of HR strategic objectives in line with the HR Plan.
* Participate in and implement global HR projects and initiatives.
* Continuously evaluate and improve HR service delivery methods and processes to ensure quality and consistency.
Requirements
* Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field; equivalent experience with formal qualifications considered.
* Experience: Minimum 5 years of HR generalist experience, with at least 2 years in an HR Business Partnering role.
* Legislative Knowledge: Strong understanding of Singapore employment law.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant HR technologies.
* Strategic planning ability and forward-thinking mindset.
* Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
* Proven experience in conflict resolution and employee relations.
* Ability to design and deliver effective training programs.
* Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
* Experience managing regulatory and employee enquiries.
* Willingness and ability to travel occasionally, as required.
