Our Client is a Main Contractor for Interior Fit-out, mainly doing premium commercial projects.
The Site Manager will be responsible for the overall on-site management of A&A - ABWF/Fitout/MEP construction projects.
This includes overseeing daily operations, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
The role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge of construction processes, and excellent communication skills to coordinate with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Project Management & Planning
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise all on-site construction activities, site logistics, ensuring alignment with project timelines, budget, and specifications.
- Review and interpret shop drawings, method statements and inspection test plans for A&A - ABWF/Fitout/MEP projects.
- Adhere to timelines stated in project schedules, monitoring progress and implementing corrective actions to prevent delays.
- Coordinate with PM team, Design team, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure a smooth workflow and timely delivery of materials and services.
Site Supervision & Quality Control:
- Oversee the daily operations of the construction site, including the supervision of workers and subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with all building codes, regulations, and quality standards for all A&A - ABWF/Fitout/MEP works.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor work quality, identify potential issues, and ensure proper execution.
- Manage and resolve any on-site technical or operational problems that arise during the project.
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE):
- Implement and enforce a robust safety culture on-site, ensuring all activities adhere to strict HSE policies and regulations.
- Conduct safety briefings and toolbox meetings to educate workers on potential hazards and safe work practices.
- Ensure the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe operation of machinery and equipment.
- Investigate and report all accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and recommend preventive measures.
Monitoring project costs, including labor, materials, equipment rentals, and subcontractor fees, track spending against the allocated budget and identify any potential for cost overruns.
Manage the ordering and receiving of materials and supplies.
Prepare and submit daily/weekly/monthly progress reports, documenting work completed, resources used, and any deviations from the plan.
Manage site-specific documentation, such as permit to works, work at height permit to work, hot works permit to work, applications to approvals, and quality assurance inspections and records.
Handle project closeout activities, including defects inspections and close out, training, handover to the client, and demobilization of the site.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Manager, with a strong focus on ABWF/Fitout/MEP projects.
- Solid knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
