Key Responsibilities
1.
Structural Steelworks
- Lead design review, fabrication, and installation of structural steelworks, including cruciform connections, bolted/welded joints, and transportability considerations.
- Ensure compliance with BS EN 10219, EN 1090, and BCA welding requirements.
- Supervise erection sequencing, lifting operations, and installation works.

Tensile Membrane and Cable Systems
- Review shop drawings, membrane detailing, and interface with steel supports.
Manage installation works covering clamping systems, seam welding, waterproofing, and fire-rated/UV coating compliance.
Supervise tensioning operations using hydraulic jacks and turnbuckles.
4.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Implement QA/QC procedures across steel, membrane, and cable works.
- Conduct inspections of weld quality, bolt torquing, membrane tensioning, and cable pre-stress.
- Verify compliance with relevant codes, standards, and project specifications.
5.
Site Coordination & Documentation
- Prepare and maintain daily reports, method statements, risk assessments, and inspection records.
- Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve technical queries (RFI/RFA).
- Support project controls including Variation Orders (VOs), Extension of Time (EOT) claims, and contractual notices.
6.
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
- Enforce safety procedures for: steel erection, membrane lifting, and cable tensioning.
- Conduct toolbox talks and site briefings specific to combined steel–membrane–cable works.
- Ensure strict compliance with lifting plans, PPE, and statutory regulations.
