What you will be working on

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team.

This is an individual contributor role whereby you will be part of the Career Development team in the HR and Organisation Development Division to develop, review and implement effective career development policies and programs for MTI to achieve our talent management outcomes.

These include ensuring competencies are integrated in our HR policies/processes, creating career pathways and frameworks to guide officers in their professional growth within MTI, supporting officers learning needs and nominating officers for key milestone programs etc.

You will work closely with senior management, HR teams, line divisions, and officers to evaluate the effectiveness of career development policies and programs and make recommendations for improvements.
In this role, you will:
• Develop and implement career development strategies and programmes to help MTI officers build meaningful careers as they journey within MTI and the Public Service, as well as build capabilities to achieve current and long-term organisational goals.
• You will plan and execute organisation-wide communications activities to build awareness of career development programmes and pathways, so as to enable officers to take ownership of their career development.
• Partner and guide leaders on holding career development conversations with employees.
• Evaluate external trends and effectiveness of current career development programmes to recommend changes
• Be the Career Development Lead for the professional schemes in MTI

What we are looking for


• At least 3 to 5 years of relevant HR experience
• Ability to conceptualise and articulate policies, as well as work well both strategically and operationally
• Strong personal initiative and resourcefulness
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well with people at all levels
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
