As a Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial and Investment Banking (CIB) Technology's Glass Liquidity and Cash Management (GLCM) team, you will be pivotal in the creation, design, and execution of intricate software components for our technological solutions.
You will be tasked with guaranteeing the security, dependability, and scalability of these components.
Job Responsibilities
- Execute standard software solutions, design, develop, and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Write secure and high-quality code using at least one programming language with limited guidance.
- Design, develop, code, and troubleshoot considering upstream and downstream systems and technical implications.
- Apply knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle tools to enhance automation and value.
- Perform technical troubleshooting to resolve basic complexity problems.
- Analyze large, diverse data sets to identify issues and support decision-making for secure, stable applications.
- Learn and apply system processes, methodologies, and skills for secure, stable code development.
- Contribute to a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 2+ years of applied experience.
- Practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database querying languages.
- Knowledge of the full Software Development Life Cycle.
- Exposure to agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
- Emerging knowledge of software applications and technical processes (e.g., cloud, AI, ML, mobile).
- Experience in developing microservices using Java 8+, Spring Boot, REST, SQL, React JS, Angular JS.
- Strong focus on automated testing, TDD, BDD, and unit testing frameworks like Junit / Mockito.
- Good understanding of DevOps tools: Git, Maven, Jenkins.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies.
- Exposure to messaging systems like MQ/Kafka.
- Experience with cloud technologies, preferably Kubernetes.
