Responsibilities
- Work with architects to understand end-to-end architecture, and individual application architecture
- Work with business analysts to understand business requirements
- Produce technical design document for assigned modules, and develop according to specification
- Collaborate with other developers for API integration, and system integration tests
- Follow good coding practice to produce clean, readable, testable, and secure code
- Develop, test and maintain web applications frontend using Angular/React/JavaScript/HTML/CSS
- Implement responsive web design principles to ensure the application works seamlessly on various devices and screen sizes
- Develop, test and maintain web application backend using Java/Spring Boot, or
- Develop, test and maintain web application backend using , with server-side rendering (SSR) or APIs
- Support fortnightly deployments
- Provide L3 support for production
- Senior developers are expected to participate in architecture/framework discussion, improve development process, and conduct code reviews
- Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by superior from time to time
Role Requirements
- Minimum 2 years development experience
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript with Typescript, and experience with React/Angular
- Good understanding of responsive design principles
- Understanding of state management (e.g., Redux or equivalent)
Backend Stack (either of the following):
- Java/Spring Framework:
- Extensive experience with Java/Spring Boot for backend/microservice development
- Good knowledge of RDBMS, SQL, and Spring Data JPA
Good understanding of RESTful API and able to build APIs in Express
- Knowledge of Webpack, npm and/or Yarn
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles
Good knowledge of RDBMS, SQL, and ORM
Experience with NoSQL or distributed caching solutions
- Some experience with container technologies – Docker, Docker Swarm, Kubernetes
- Some experience with API gateway
- Familiarity with microservice-based application architecture
- Good working knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle and tools such as Git and JIRA
- Some functional knowledge of Telco BSS highly preferred; experience with TMF SID/Open API a strong plus
