Software Quality Engineer (Automation)
We are seeking a skilled QA Automation Engineer to join our agile development team.
In
this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing automated testing
frameworks, ensuring quality standards across our applications, and contributing to our
continuous integration and delivery pipeline.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for web applications
Create and execute automated test scripts for functional, regression, and integration testing
Implement and maintain performance testing scenarios using JMeter
Collaborate with developers and product owners to understand requirements and create test strategies
Identify, document, and track bugs through their lifecycle
Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to quality planning
Set up and maintain test environments
Create and maintain detailed test documentation
Monitor and report on test coverage and quality metrics
Required Skills and Experience:
5+ years of experience in software testing and automation
Strong expertise in at least one of the following automation tools:
o Katalon Studio
o Playwright
o Selenium WebDriver
o Cypress
Hands-on experience with JMeter for performance testing
Experience with test management tools and bug tracking systems
Knowledge of API testing and tools like Postman or REST Assured
Understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices
Experience working in agile development environments
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Technical Skills:
Automation Tools: Katalon Studio/Playwright/Selenium
Performance Testing: JMeter, Gatling
Programming Languages: Java, JavaScript, Python
Version Control: Git
CI/CD Tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI
Test Management Tools: JIRA, TestRail
API Testing: Postman, REST Assured
Good to Have:
• Experience with Singapore Government Technology Stack (SGTS)
• Experience testing applications integrated with SingPass and CorpPass
• Knowledge of security testing tools and methodologies
• Understanding of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of accessibility testing
• ISTQB certification
• Experience with test automation in CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with load testing and performance monitoring tools
Additional Responsibilities:
• Participate in security and performance testing initiatives
• Collaborate with development teams to improve application testability
• Provide estimates for testing efforts
• Create and maintain automated test environments
