Speech-Language Therapist - Flexible and Full-Time Positions

Be a part of the DAS Specialised Educational Services (SES) division's dynamic team providing specialist services to children from both local and international schools in Singapore.

About the Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) Programme

Speech and Language Therapy is offered in individual or group settings, including social skills.

Our Speech‑Language Therapists (SLTs) aim to build up the child’s fundamental speech, language and communication skills to support his or her development and learning.

Therapy is carried out in a child‑friendly, lively and bright environment.

Language is aided and enhanced through fun and functional activities.

Responsibilities – Full‑Time

  • Identifying speech, language and communication difficulties in clients for an age range of 5 to 18 years.

  • Managing a caseload with support as required and in consultation with the DAS multi-disciplinary team.

  • Providing therapy to a diverse group of clients including children with speech and language disorder, social communication difficulties, dyslexia, autism, ADHD, dyspraxia and oral motor issues.

  • Working with clients on a one-to-one basis and in groups to deliver therapy, including conducting holiday workshops.

  • Planning, delivering and monitoring treatment programmes.

  • Recording outcome measures to evaluate intervention.

  • Using assistive technology to stimulate interest in therapy sessions.

  • Liaising closely with parents, caregivers and/or educators and providing regular updates for them.

  • Planning and delivering training sessions for parents and educators.

  • Writing and maintaining confidential client case notes and reports, and information for clients’ carers and other professionals.

  • Providing information for statistical reporting and/or funding requests.

  • Participating in research projects, conference presentations and awareness talks.

  • Attending and/or providing mentoring and supervision.

  • Undertaking clinical audit to ensure that high quality standards are maintained.

  • Maintaining Continuing Professional Development and registration with professional bodies such as the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) and Speech and Language Therapy Singapore (SALTS).

Requirements

  • A Bachelor or Master degree in Speech‑Language Pathology that is recognised by the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC), Singapore.

  • No prior experience is required.

  • High standard of report writing.

  • An understanding of a variety of assessments and treatment programmes.

  • Commitment and ability to work with a range of clients with speech, language and communication difficulties.

  • Interpersonal & communication skills (written, spoken).

  • Ability to work well in a team.

  • Positive learning attitude and pleasant disposition.

  • Dependable and responsible.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office application.

Salary

Full‑Time – Competitive salary range of $3,300 to $5,000, with starting salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Flexi Scheme – Hourly rate (negotiable), depending on relevant qualifications and teaching experience.
