The Role
This role is a key contributor to the success of AspenTech’s License Compliance team which focuses on worldwide enforcement and monetarization of non-genuine and non-compliant use of AspenTech software.
The role will work directly with the global sales team across all vertical markets to generate revenue through engaging with high quality noncompliant accounts to bring compliance issues to a successful resolution.
This is a quota-carrying role with responsibility for an assigned territory which requires a self-motivated individual with a track record of over-achievement.
A successful candidate will need to think creatively, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment.
Your Impact
Perform a broad range of activities to support AspenTech’s License Compliance ProgramExecute territory plan to maximize revenueConsistently attain and exceed individual quotaMonitors the assigned sales organization’s compliance with required standards for accurately maintaining CRM data; Accurately forecasts compliance opportunities in CRMAbility to handle high pressure situations and discussions to drive successful resolution to compliance issues.
Highly involved in customer negotiations.Critical thinking skills needed to apply AspenTech’s licensing rules to various customers and ability to explain any non-compliant issuesHandle multiple compliance engagements simultaneouslyIdentify compliance issues, based on the terms of the applicable agreement(s), and partner with the Sales Team to identify resolutions for any identified compliance violationsEngage with customers and non-customers to participate in AspenTech’s License Compliance Process to develop a pipeline of compliance opportunities:Develop relationships with customers and non-customersFollow up and resolve non-compliance issuesGrow existing AspenTech footprint within existing accounts that are non-compliantWork cross-functionally with global sales teams, legal, operations, finance, contracts, and R&DInterpret contractual terms of software licenses and service agreements to assess customer compliancePerform analysis on customer data, create reports of findings, and manage the resolution and closure processReview and monitor policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulationsSupport preparation for Quarterly Business Performance review reporting of key business metrics in relation to License Compliance activities and revenue generationSupport the efficient distribution of compliance reports and other intelligence essential to the sales organizationTrain and support global sales organization on AspenTech License Compliance best practices and processes to resolve unbudgeted compliance issuesWhat You'll Need
3 to 5 years of experience in an Operations or Software Compliance role, with at least basic understanding of Software Asset Management and/or License Compliance.Experience with Salesforce (CRM) and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint.Position is responsible for supporting business operations in APJ as well as China and requires fluency in MandarinKnowledge of Software Asset Management Deployment Tools like Microsoft SCCM (desired).Experience in completing software license audit engagement.Experience with IP enforcement and/or legal knowledge.Organized and adaptable business professional with desire for successExcellent written and oral communication skills are imperativeBachelor's degree required
