Offshore Infrastructure SEA & Japan (OI SEA & Japan) is part of the OIT (Offshore Infrastructure & Technology) Department in DNV Energy Systems.
The unit holds a strategic position in the regional and global marketplaces.
It has the ambition of becoming a leading competence centre and prime technical advisor in the Asia Pacific in the upstream sector for DNV energy systems.
The unit provides diverse services such as Verification and Certification of Assets and Components, as well as Technical Advisory, for segments in Upstream, Midstream, and Downstream, for assets such as Pipelines, SURF (subsea, umbilical, riser, and flowlines), Fixed Offshore Facilities, Topside of Floaters, Petrochemical & Refineries, Offshore Wind Substations, etc.
The Singapore team of OI SEA and Japan consists of about 18 permanent employees and a large pool of subcontractors.

We work in synergy among ourselves and with other offices to solve different technical challenges in various types of services.

Take up assignments both within the base country as well as overseas, where required.
Perform certification and verification activities for energy facilities for all phases of a field development project.
The activities include, but may not be limited to:
Design review of documents submitted by the clients.
Where required, site surveys for the construction, installation, testing, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities – both onshore and offshore.
Communicate and liaise with other team members, client representatives and other relevant stakeholders to complete the verification and certification processes.
Provide technical advisory and consultancy on the topics within the expertise for the projects where required.
Act as project manager for projects within the unit.
Provide liaison with DNV management, DNV project team members within the team, or cross discipline, cross country, cross region, client, client’s client, and other relevant stakeholders to successfully manage the project within the given budget and schedule to meet agreed quality and expectations.
Act as bid manager for tenders related to the services offered within the unit.
Preparing and consolidating input from multiple sources as well as from the team members to finalize the bid and getting the management approval to deliver the bid on time.
Have regular face-to-face or virtual communication and networking with customers, chairing internal and external meetings, as well as interfacing with other units, so as to strengthen or build up customer relations and secure project opportunities utilizing DNV’s global resources for the growth of unit.
Conduct sharing knowledge sessions within the unit and / or extended audiences within the company where relevant.
Attend training courses (internal and external) as required to attain the competence in areas required by the unit to capture the opportunities and contribute to the business development within the unit.
Drive own individual development plan and follow up to excel the capability, knowledge and skill set to support the unit’s business

3-5 years of experience within O&G and/or shipbuilding, renewable energy industry as a pipeline, structure or subsea engineer in engineering / consultancy or construction firms.
Bachelor degree in structural or mechanical engineering.
Knowledge and Skills Requirements
Familiarity with subsea pipelines, onshore pipelines, offshore structures design procedures and details.
Knowledge of relevant international design standards and regulations related to pipelines and structures (DNV, ASME, API, ISO, .
This knowledge shall come from design or design verification experience.
Strong command of written and spoken English.
Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, collaborate with other engineers, designers, and professionals from different disciplines.
Strong command of engineering software tools, simulation software, and project management tools is an added advantage.
Experience in the project management of a small-scale project is an added advantage.
