Key Responsibilities
Strategy
Work to implement the strategy of the desk for profitable trading at acceptable risk.
Business
Work in partnership with Sales, Structuring, and other trading teams to maximise the bank’s revenues and achieve the assigned full year budget.
Provide accurate and timely pricing for interest rates derivatives to meet the needs of both internal and external clients at competitive prices.
Transact trades to hedge risk and generate revenues by leveraging off market flows and opportunities.
Expand the current product offering through the testing and implementation of new trading models.
Manage the portfolio risk generated by adhering to approved risk limits and seeking excess approvals where necessary.
Establish and maintain a network of relationships with other SCB Global Market centres, to identify opportunities for business growth.
Processes
Ensure adherence to all internal and external regulations.
Embed Operational Risk monitoring as an integral part of the business process.
Carry out the assigned role under Compliance Risk Management and Operational Risk Management Assurance.
Ensure that the business meets its obligations for the prevention of money laundering under the Group Policy and Standards and local laws and regulations.
Ensure that there are appropriate and documented internal controls and procedures in place, monitoring their operation and updating them as products, systems, policy and regulations change.

Governance
Responsible for assessing the effectiveness of the Group’s arrangements to deliver effective governance, oversight and controls, and oversee changes where necessary.
Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework and requirements relevant to the role.

Deliver effective governance and be willing to work with regulators in an open and cooperative manner.

Master of Finance - Financial Engineering
6+ years’ experience in trading structured rates products
Project and time management skills to monitor multiple workstreams and own issues
Ability to work in a team and diverse environment
Excellent written & oral communication skills
