Student Development Officer
Contract Period: 1st Jan 2026 – 31 Dec 2026

Working Hours
Personnel will be deployed as follows:
- Monday to Friday: 7:15 a.m. – 4:45 p.m., inclusive of 1-hour lunch break (or such working hours approved by the School)
- Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted public holidays
Scope of Services
1.
Daily Operations & Student Management
- Monitor and manage student punctuality, implementing appropriate interventions for late arrivals and maintaining accurate attendance records.
- Conduct regular patrols of classroom blocks and common areas to ensure a safe and orderly learning environment and address behavioural concerns promptly.

Disciplinary Support & Case Management
- Provide comprehensive support to Year Heads and the Discipline Master in investigating disciplinary matters, including gathering information, conducting interviews, and preparing detailed reports.
- Coordinate and supervise in-house suspension and detention programmes, ensuring students receive appropriate guidance and support.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date disciplinary and attendance records in individual student profiles, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.

Specialised Programme Management
- Support the daily monitoring and implementation of the Care Management Programme (CMP), working closely with Year Heads and the Discipline Master to track student progress and provide necessary interventions.
- Oversee anti-smoking initiatives and programmes within the school, including monitoring compliance, conducting educational activities, and reporting on programme effectiveness.

Administrative & Collaborative Duties
- Collaborate effectively with teaching staff, school leadership, and external agencies to support student welfare and disciplinary processes.
- Prepare regular reports and documentation related to disciplinary matters and programme outcomes.
Qualifications and Skills
Experience & Background
- Must have at least 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role or working environment, demonstrating progressive responsibility and expertise.
Technical Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word) and familiar with various IT systems and digital platforms.
Youth Engagement & Management
- Proven experience in effectively interacting with and managing teenagers, with understanding of adolescent development and behaviour.
- Ability to independently supervise groups of young people while maintaining appropriate boundaries and ensuring safety and wellbeing.
Interpersonal & Communication Skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including young people, parents, and colleagues.
