FROZEN FOOD (MEAT) COMPANY SUPERVISOR JOB ORDER

Job Title: Frozen Food/Meat Processing Supervisor

Department: Production/Operations

Reports To: Operations Manager/Plant Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our frozen food and meat processing facility.

The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with a deep understanding of food safety, production efficiency, and team management.

This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth workflow, high product quality, and adherence to all health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Supervision:

Manage, supervise, and mentor a team of production, butchery, and packaging staff.

Assign daily tasks and monitor work performance to ensure production schedules and targets are met.

Provide training and guidance to new and existing employees on job duties, safety procedures, and company policies.

Foster a positive and safe work environment that promotes teamwork and high morale.

Handle on-site emergencies, resolve conflicts, and address employee performance issues

Production & Operations Management:

Oversee the entire production process, from receiving and storage of raw meat to processing, packaging, and shipping.

Monitor production schedules and inventory to ensure a consistent supply of materials and timely delivery.

Ensure all food processing and packaging activities comply with strict food safety and hygiene standards.

Regularly inspect and maintain equipment used in the production process.

Assist in optimizing standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve operational efficiency and productivity.

Quality Control & Compliance:

Ensure all food products meet the company's quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Monitor and maintain proper cold room temperatures and ensure the integrity of the cold chain throughout all stages.

Conduct regular checks of raw ingredients and finished products for quality and freshness.

Accurately complete all necessary production records, reports, and documentation (e.g., shipping logs, inventory reports).

Ensure all staff adhere to health, safety, and hygiene regulations.

Inventory & Logistics:

Assist with inventory control, including regular stock checks and managing the usage of packaging materials.

Coordinate with logistics and other departments to ensure smooth receiving and dispatch of goods.

Address and resolve issues related to order errors, product returns, or delivery delays.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar supervisory role, preferably within the frozen food, meat processing, or warehouse industry.

Proven experience in a cold room or cold storage environment is highly preferred.

Knowledge of food safety standards (e.g., HACCP) and quality control practices.

Skills:

Strong leadership, motivational, and communication skills.

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physically fit and able to handle manual work and work in cold temperatures for extended periods.

Proficiency with basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).

Education:

Certifications in food safety or related fields will be considered a significant asset.

Working Conditions:

The role requires working in a cold and potentially wet environment.

Must be able to work a flexible schedule, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
