🌟 We’re Hiring: Senior / Engineer, Supplier Quality Management (SQM)
📍 Location: Singapore
📝 Contract Basis: 6 months
🏢 Work Type: On-site 🔑 Key Targets of Job Profile
Champion a strong quality mindset and actively drive the Zero-Defect strategy across internal teams and external suppliers.
🛠️ Areas of Responsibility / Main Tasks
1.
Component Quality Management:
Lead or support qualification of new components and requalification activities (e.g., Product Change Notifications) in line with Continental’s Product Life Cycle and APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) processes.
2.
Preventive Quality Planning: Plan, initiate, and oversee advanced quality measures during the design and development phases to ensure supplier components meet all technical and quality requirements.
3.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with global and cross-functional teams including Purchasing, Engineering, Project Management, Local SQM, Customer Quality, and Logistic.
4.
Audit & Corrective Action Review: Participate in the review of corrective actions from VDA 6.3 audits, with a strong focus on early involvement and preventive measures.
5.
Knowledge Sharing & Continuous Improvement: Contribute to lessons learned and best practice sharing across the category, organization, and supplier base.
🎓 Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical & Electronic and/or Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 3 years working experience in Automotive Industry.
Good understanding of Component Introduction in design and development phase and APQP management.
Ability to understand, discuss and align technical requirements with high focus on requirements engineering based on drawings and specifications.
Good knowledge in processes for plastic overmolding/molding and its secondary process with cosmetic requirement, stamping, press-fit stamping, sub-component assembly, automated inline testing, wire cutting/terminating for cable assemblies.
Strong knowledge in quality related methodologies and standards (e.g., FMEA, 8D review, 5why, Problem Solving, etc.).
Able to work independently and also in a team-based environment.
