The Impact You’ll Make
As a Supplier Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer at Lam, you will be responsible for innovation and problem-solving in Fluid Delivery System manufacturing, test, supplier quality, supply chain design, and material & supplier selection, development, and technology.
What You’ll Do
Apply skills and experience with semiconductor manufacturing and equipment to technical and quality problems encountered in the product life cycle with special attention to new product introduction Apply innovative approaches to understand and resolve problems with assembly functionality, component quality and reliability and in supplier quality systems. Travel to Lam supplier manufacturing locations to conduct effective situation assessments, audits and investigations.
Apply findings to implement systematic and lasting improvements to product and process Apply experience with industrial Quality Systems, Engineering Design & Documentation, Product Qualification, Change (EC) Processes and Problem Solving to issues occurring in product and component life cycles Perform Program/Project and Supplier Management roles with emphasis on problem-solving analysis and improvements in manufacturing and test processes.
Definition, review and improvement of Supplier’s Root Cause & Corrective Action (RCCA), Supplier’s Quality Systems and Processes of Record (POR) Supplier Audit and follow up actions 8D methodology DFT, Value stream mapping and process improvement PFMEA and Control Plan Interfaces with manufacturing and design engineering in coordinating the release of new products Reviews new designs for manufacturability and makes recommendations to design engineering on manufacturability improvements (DFMA, Serviceability, Safety, Ergonomics, and Modularity) Determines time standards and makes recommendations for fixturing and process requirements of new product lines Develops, implements and maintains methods, operation sequence and processes in the manufacturing of sub-assemblies and final assemblies Works with outside suppliers on outsourcing activities.
Who We’re Looking For
Minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience. Electro-mechanical assembly, methods of weldment, plastic assembly, plastic welding and flaring and substrate part fabrication, gas delivery systems assembly, test and quality assurance Critical and creative thinking, qualitative and quantitative analysis methods Communication skills including written and verbal with emphasis on presentations to team members and stakeholders Industrial systems life cycle: Specification, Manufacture, Assembly, Test, Reliability, Systems Integration and Product Support Structured problem-solving in Cross-Functional Teams (CFT)

Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex.
‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week.
‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
