The survey assistants role:
To support surveyors in conducting field surveys by collecting and recording data, setting up and maintaining equipment, placing markers, and clearing survey areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting up Equipment – Assist surveyors with the setup and operation of surveying instruments such as total stations, levels, GPS equipment, etc.
- Marking Survey Points – Place markers or stakes at designated survey points to guide surveyors in the field.
- Carrying Equipment – Transport and handle surveying tools and equipment on-site.
- Assisting with Data Collection – Support data collection by measuring distances, angles, and elevations as directed by the surveyor.
- Teamwork and Coordination – Work closely with surveyors and other assistants as part of a team.
- Safety – Follow safety protocols and guidelines while working in the field.
Required Skills and Attributes:
- Technical Skills – Candidates with or without prior survey experience are encouraged to apply.
- Physical Fitness – Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
