Overview
The Senior Vice President (SVP) of IT is a visionary technology leader responsible for the strategic direction, governance, and performance of the organization’s growing technology landscape.
This role oversees enterprise-wide IT operations across all regions, ensuring scalable, secure, and innovative solutions that support the company’s expanding business objectives.
The SVP will lead cross-regional teams, digital initiatives, and ensure consistency, compliance, and efficiency across all IT functions, including infrastructure, cybersecurity, enterprise applications, business systems, and software engineering.
Key Responsibilities
Define and execute a forward-thinking global IT strategy that aligns with corporate goals and regional business needs.
Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on global technology trends, innovation, and digital capabilities.
Lead the development of a globally unified IT operating model while allowing for regional agility.
Global Infrastructure & Operations
Oversee global infrastructure including data centers, networks, cloud platforms, and end-user computing across all regions.
Drive standardization of global systems, platforms, and tools to ensure efficiency and reliability.
Ensure 24/7 support and uptime across multiple time zones and operational regions.
Cybersecurity, Compliance & Risk
Develop and enforce enterprise-wide IT security policies in line with global regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, APAC/EMEA-specific data laws).
Lead cybersecurity strategy, incident response planning, risk management, and compliance auditing across all jurisdictions.
Partner with legal and compliance teams to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements in all operational territories.
Enterprise Applications & Digital Transformation
Oversee global implementation and optimization of ERP, CRM, HRIS, and other enterprise systems.
Champion digital transformation initiatives to streamline business processes and improve user experience.
Lead efforts in automation, data analytics, AI/ML integration, and cloud-first strategies across business units.
Global Team Leadership & Organizational Development
Lead and mentor a high-performing, geographically dispersed IT leadership team.
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and inclusivity across regional teams.
Establish clear KPIs, performance metrics, and reporting structures globally.
Own the global IT budget; oversee procurement, financial planning, and cost optimization initiatives.
Establish global vendor management strategy, negotiating international contracts and managing SLA compliance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with regional and corporate leaders in Finance, Operations, HR, Supply Chain, Sales, and Product to ensure IT delivers value across all functions.
Translate complex IT initiatives into business value and communicate effectively with global stakeholders.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (required).
MBA or Master’s degree in IT Management or a related discipline (preferred).
Experience
15+ years of progressive IT leadership, including 5+ years in a global or multinational executive IT role.
Proven experience overseeing technology strategy and execution across North America, EMEA, APAC, and/or LATAM regions.
Experience managing global enterprise systems, international IT operations, and multicultural teams.
Demonstrated success leading digital transformation and global standardization initiatives.
Deep understanding of global IT infrastructure, cybersecurity frameworks, compliance standards, and data privacy laws.
Executive-level communication and leadership presence across diverse cultural and geographic contexts.
Expertise in agile, DevOps, cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), and modern enterprise architecture.
Strategic thinker with strong operational and change management skills.
