Responsibilities
KYC and Compliance Management:
Lead the team in the preparation of client/case profiles and guide Front Office teams in obtaining required corroboration and information for KYC
KYC and Compliance Management:
Manage the KYC write-up process, identifying areas for clarification and ensuring adequate follow-up with clients and closure prior to KYC submission
KYC and Compliance Management:
Facilitate joint discussions with Front Office and KYC teams to ensure timely and informed case decisions
KYC and Compliance Management:
Manage reworks resolution to facilitate efficient account opening
KYC and Compliance Management:
Coordinate with KYC team who will be providing KYC training to the Front Office Onboarding team to ensure deep understanding of the KYC requirements
KYC and Compliance Management:
Stay updated on evolving KYC/AML process and regulations and ensure strict adherence to local and international laws, ensuring adherence to the processes and policies
Collaboration and Communication:
Champion sharing of best KYC practices through huddles with various market regions and teams to improve quality
Collaboration and Communication:
Drive improved collaboration between units to facilitate the account opening process
Collaboration and Communication:
Act as a key liaison with Front Office, compliance teams, and other stakeholders to resolve gaps or discrepancies
Collaboration and Communication:
Provide expert advice and guidance to internal teams on regulatory requirements and best practices
Data Management and Reporting:
Analyse data to track progress and efficiency of onboarding, risk trends, and KYC issues, and provide reports to management
Process Improvement:
Identify inefficiencies in the onboarding process and propose enhancements
Process Improvement:
Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and systems
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Law, or a related field
At least 10 -15 years of experience in KYC, AML, and/or client onboarding in private banking or financial services
Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks (e.g., FATCA, CRS, MAS guidelines)
Certifications in AML such as Certified Anti Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) or International Association Diploma in Anti Money Laundering would be an advantage
Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with Front Office and diverse stakeholders
Familiarity with KYC software, databases, and banking systems.
Proficient in Excel and Tableau preferred
