Overview
Corporate and Investment Banking provides corporate customers with a full range of commercial banking products and services, including cash management, current accounts, time deposits, trade finance, working capital finance, term loans and foreign exchange.
DBS maintains long-standing relationships with regional customers based on account relationship management, service differentiation, product development and rigorous credit standards.
Responsibilities
Develop strategy for rapid capture of M&A advisory opportunities in the ERI sector, focusing on energy transition/decarbonization and low carbon solutions (e.g., biofuels, green ammonia, CCUS).
Initiate and lead regular engagement with DBS Geographies, Industry bankers and product partners to raise awareness of strategy and opportunities, leveraging the DBS network to build a pipeline of advisory opportunities.
Participate in account planning for strategic clients led by coverage bankers, identifying and developing plans to capture investment banking opportunities (ECM/DCM/acquisition finance).
Originate advisory pitches from ideation to client presentation, coordinating a cross-functional team to produce high-quality pitches.
Oversee day-to-day deal execution, including financial modeling, M&A structuring, due diligence, negotiations, and presentations to investment committees and Boards.
Maintain strategic and regular client engagement with decision-makers and C-suite; provide timely pre-meeting briefing notes and actionable call reports.
As a senior banker, promote a “one-bank” approach by cross-selling Cash, Trade, Treasury & Markets and Investment Banking products and solutions.
Refer prospects for cash management and supply chain mandates to Global Transaction Services product partners to ensure proper execution; engage in sustainability advisory, loans and capital markets opportunities with the Sustainability Team where relevant.
Lead regular reviews to Senior Management detailing pipeline and P&L.
Cultivate a strong people culture aligned with DBS values and build highly motivated teams; drive talent development and internal mobility.
Requirements
Minimum 10–14 years of investment banking experience in the ERI sector.
Highly numerate with strong financial and valuation modeling skills.
Experience in oil & gas investment banking with regional coverage knowledge (e.g., Southeast Asia, Australia) preferred.
Proficiency in account planning for strategic clients, identifying and developing opportunities (ECM/DCM/acquisition finance).
Results-oriented, resourceful with strong business development connections.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; strong team player with ability to collaborate across borders and functions.
