Overview
System Analyst is responsible for leading a team of developers, managing the system development, implementation and support of Cards related applications on the mainframe platform.
Responsible for understanding and contributing to the technical solution from design through to code level.
Work with business users on change requests, analyze and review enhancements for compatibility and adhere to operating guidelines.
Lead a project and change request team to implement solutions that meet business requirements and align with the organization's objectives.
Coordinate with vendors on estimations and end-to-end functional deliveries.
Be a hands-on manager to guide the development team on functional and technical issues and modify existing programs when required.
Ensure project documentation is prepared in accordance with bank standards.
Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to resolve application and system functional issues.
Troubleshoot, debug and provide production system support.
Responsibilities
Lead a project and change request team to implement solutions that meet business requirements and align with organizational objectives.
Work with business users on change requests; analyze and review enhancements for compatibility and adherence to operating guidelines.
Develop estimates and solutions for business requirements and change requests.
Guide the development team on functional and technical issues; modify existing programs when required.
Ensure project documentation is prepared in accordance with bank standards.
Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to resolve application and system functional issues.
Ensure development processes adhere to appropriate standards and procedures to support quality deliverables.
Execute tasks related to projects, change requests and maintenance requests; support SIT and UAT issues and queries.
Triaged and resolved SIT and UAT defects in collaboration with the SA and business teams.
Collaborate with business on parameter setup and provide guidance.
Recommend and execute process improvements; partner with the testing team to review test strategy and requirements.
Produce and transfer documentation to production teams post-cutover.
Troubleshoot, debug and provide production system support.
Requirements
Technical Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will be a dependable and results-oriented technology delivery manager who can work in a large development organization in a globally distributed, dynamic environment that fosters diversity, teamwork, and collaboration.
He/she should be passionate about technology and able to be technically hands-on when needed.
Well-versed in the latest trends, especially disruptive technology, with a proven record of execution.
Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment is essential.
Candidate should be aware of:
a.
Credit/Debit Card/loans processing, including Delinquency, charge-off, write-off, etc.
b.
Collections and collection interfaces
d.
Exposures to middleware systems - Linux/Unix & mainframes
Education
Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science or related field.
8+ years of System Analysis work and equivalent Cards Functional Domain experience, cards payment networks, preferably with 8+ years in Cardlink/Vision Plus.
Experience as an experienced developer with good experience in system integration/interfacing.
Ability to work on specific projects and support Application Delivery; end-to-end technical matters within the project.
In some projects, duties may include coding, scripting, building new systems and interfaces; environment support during SIT/UAT.
Document work adequately and transfer to production post-cutover.
Collaborate with senior developers and system architect to formulate technical solutions that satisfy security, regulatory and architectural standards.
Key Domain / Technical Skills

In-depth technical skills in CICS COBOL, COBOL batch, JCL, Easytrieve, VSAM, OPC and other mainframe utilities
Hands-on experience with middleware systems - Linux/Unix
