Description
- Responsible for managing and maintaining Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems across development, testing, and production environments.
- Design, deploy, and operate OpenShift container platforms, including bare-metal setups.
- Develop and optimize Logstash and rsyslog pipelines to ingest logs from various infrastructure devices, onboarding systems into the ELK stack with customized parsing configurations.
- Create and manage observability dashboards using Kibana and implement alerting for critical events.
- Automate configuration, patching, provisioning, and monitoring using Ansible, Python, and shell scripting.
- Integrate logging and monitoring solutions with ITSM platforms like ServiceNow to streamline incident management.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation, runbooks, and SOPs related to platform setup, observability, and log management.
Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation, providing incident response and performing root cause analysis.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Min 5 years of hands-on experience in Linux system administration, with strong expertise in RHEL and OpenShift.
- Proven experience working with the ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) in high-volume environments.
- Proficient in scripting languages such as Python and Bash.
- Skilled in onboarding logs from various infrastructure devices and integrating them with ITSM platforms.
- Experienced with Red Hat Satellite and configuration management tools like Ansible and Puppet.
- Solid understanding of key infrastructure components, including networking, storage, firewalls, virtualization, and cloud environments.
- Good knowledge of networking protocols, SNMP, syslog, and security best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and infrastructure-as-code tools is a plus.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Zabbix, Datadog, or similar platforms is desirable
