Reporting to : Head of Learning Development Department (HOD)
We are seeking for the position to start in January 2026.
Overall Purpose:
To support the department in our mission: to support students socially, emotionally and academically to help them to achieve their potential as learners and to participate fully in school life.
The ability to support the teaching and learning of Chinese, English Acquisition, Mathematics or Science up to IGCSE or IBDP level would be a considerable advantage.
Specific Responsibilities:
As directed by the HOD Learning Development, to provide support and interventions for children in class, individually, or in small groups, and at all times fostering a growth mindset.
To plan a programme of support with the guidance of the HOD to agreed deadlines and in agreed formats
To regularly liaise through the HOD of Learning Development, with teaching staff, class tutors and parents, regarding the support and interventions provided.
In consultation with subject and Learning Development teachers, to help with differentiating lesson content and instruction, as well as the scaffolding of tasks
To contribute to regular observations, reviews and strategies for individual learner profiles
Feed knowledge of learners' understanding, attitudes, areas of success and challenge,
into the teacher's assessment and planning where appropriate.
To develop and maintain a good home-school partnership with the guidance of the HOD; to consult with and inform parents of the progress, attainment and attitudes of pupils.
To support the HOD when necessary, with additional assessment arrangements and
the High School transition process
- To participate in training opportunities related to inclusive practice.
General Responsibilities:
To assist teachers with the well-being and safety of High School students.
Any other non-teaching duties that may be assigned by the Senior School Principal or teachers
School working hours are from 7.45am to 4.45pm.
However, you are sometimes required to work outside the normal working hours to assist in school events in the evenings or weekends, which are one-off events, as required by the Principal

This includes keeping updated on Child Protection issues and internet safety and having a working knowledge of the pastoral care system within the school.

To participate in the expected appraisal process which is geared towards professional growth and development.
